Construction drying
Why wait for weeks when we can do it in hours!
Drybuild Drying Solutions specialises in the drying of wet timber framing in homes and buildings prior to the pre-line stage of construction.
At the pre-line stage, once the building is weathertight ie: roof, joinery and cladding have been installed, an inspector will conduct a moisture check of all framing timbers. If the moisture content is too high, the building will not pass the pre-line inspection.
Under clause E2: Internal Moisture of the NZ Building Code, the maximum moisture contents for timber framing at pre-line must be less than 20% for insulated buildings, (all dwellings) and less than 24% for non-insulated buildings. Some manufacturers of timber and wall/floor components recommend lower moisture contents befroe the installation of their products. For example Gib Plasterboard recommend the maximum moisture content to be no greater than 18% to avoid the "popping" of mechanical fixings caused by wet timber.
Under normal weather conditions it may take weeks to bring moisture content levels of wet timber framing down if left to dry naturally, however Drybuild Drying Solutions can safely and effectively dry out an average sized home overnight.
With no more down time waiting for a pre-line inspection to be cleared, building profitability is increased allowing builders to more accurately meet deadlines.
